OpenCart → Shopify

Your store has outgrown OpenCart. We move it the right way.

OpenCart takes a store far — but extensions, VQMod hacks and self-managed servers don't scale with ambition. We migrate you to Shopify with all data verified and your search position protected.

The challenge

This is what usually gets in the way.

Extensions and hacks in layers

Years of add-ons and code changes make every change risky. Nobody dares touch the code.

No clear owner of the platform

OpenCart expertise gets harder to find. On Shopify the platform owns the operations — and we own the architecture.

SEO built on old URLs

Products and categories have collected link equity for years. We map every address before the move.

What's included

Technical inventory

Extensions, code changes and integration dependencies documented and mapped to Shopify.

Data migration

Products, customers, orders and category structure moved completely and verified against the source.

SEO migration

A 301 map for all URLs, metadata and structure — monitored after launch.

A modern theme

A fast, mobile-friendly store replacing the old theme's limitations.

Integrations

Payments, shipping and accounting connections set up and tested before the switch.

Common questions

Objections deserve real answers.

Our OpenCart is old and modified. Can it still be migrated?

Yes. We migrate directly from the database, so even older and heavily modified installations can be moved. The pre-analysis shows exactly what comes along and how.

Does the category structure come along?

Yes — categories are translated to Shopify collections, and old category URLs are redirected with 301s so the link equity is preserved.

How long does the migration take?

A typical OpenCart migration takes 4–8 weeks depending on catalog size and integrations. You get a concrete timeline after the pre-analysis.

Can we keep selling in the meantime?

Yes. The store isn't affected until the switch itself, which happens during a planned low-traffic window with a delta migration of the last orders.
